Keep it fun, keep control

Be Sure Odds gives you information and analysis, never a promise. If you choose to bet, do it within your means and stay in control.

The basics

  • You must be eighteen or older to use paid features or to bet with any bookmaker.
  • No read is a guarantee. Sport turns on moments no model can see coming.
  • Only stake money you are comfortable to lose, and never money set aside for essentials.
  • Set a budget and a time limit before you start, and stick to both.

Warning signs

Betting can stop being fun. It may be time to pause if you notice any of these:

  • Chasing losses by staking more to win back what you lost.
  • Betting more than you planned, or more often than you meant to.
  • Borrowing money or falling behind on bills to keep betting.
  • Feeling anxious, secretive or low about your betting.

Tools that help

  • Use deposit limits, time outs and self exclusion on your bookmaker account.
  • Take regular breaks and treat any stake as the cost of entertainment, not an investment.
  • Keep betting one part of a balanced life, not the center of it.

Where to get support

If you or someone you know needs help, free and confidential support is available:

  • Gambling Therapy, free online support worldwide.
  • BeGambleAware, advice and a confidential helpline.
  • In Kenya, speak to a licensed counsellor or your local health service for confidential help.

If betting has stopped being fun, step away. Be Sure Odds will still be here when you come back. See our disclaimer for how to read our ratings.
